Mathenge, aka The Captain James began an extraordinary journey from a small rural village in Kenya, armed with just two cans of paint and a single artist’s brush, his determination and vision carried him across three continents to the United States of America.

Now, as a student at Harvard University, inspired by the unbreakable spirit of Africans he met along the way, he is rallying 1,000,000 Unstoppable Africans at home and in Diaspora -The Afridan Tribe.

“Afridan is more than a compound word coined from the words 'Africa and Idan—It is the Unstoppable Spirit of Africans _the word 'Idan' is modern slang for the 'Unstoppable' in Nigerian Yoruba language.

Being an Afridan means being unstoppable, bold, and united for Africa’s progress.
